Our commitment
To grow and manufacture fully traceable & organic cotton by raising the quality of life of local communities and partnering with good, honest, hardworking farmers in developing countries, leaving a positive impact on Mother Earth.
Regenerative & Organic Farming
Additionally, organic farming rules encourage a high standard of animal welfare and require farmers to meet the specific behavioural needs of animals.
European Union regulations on organic farming are designed to provide a clear structure for the production of organic goods across the whole of the EU. This is to satisfy consumer demand for trustworthy organic products whilst providing a fair marketplace for producers, distributors and marketers.
Organic farming is an agricultural method that aims to produce food using natural substances and processes. This means that organic farming tends to have a limited environmental impact as it encourages:
- Responsible use of energy and natural resources
- Maintenance of biodiversity
- Maintenance of water quality
- Preservation of regional ecological balances
- Enhancement of soil fertility
Traceability
Farnico Cotton stands alone as the only cotton in the world that can be traced 100% back to the fields where it was cultivated.

Social
At Farnico, we empower communities by improving living circumstances and helping families to achieve financial stability.
In Tajikistan, it’s not uncommon for family members to seek work in neighboring countries, resulting in prolonged periods of separation.
Our commitment to providing fair compensation to our farmers ensures that families can enjoy better lives together at home. This economic stability encourages younger generations to remain in their communities as family plots become a dependable source of income. This, in turn, leads to happier households and contributes to the positive development of the country.
We are also committed to creating equality within our farming system and take pride in empowering female farmers. We offer access to free credit and provide training that equips them with financial literacy, allowing them to gain independence from their male counterparts to create a more inclusive farming environment.

Sustainability Report
At Farnico, we have a deep commitment to sustainability and have implemented a range of practices to ensure a safer and healthier environment.
Crop Rotation for Soil Health
Regular crop rotation allows the land to recover and regenerate after each harvest, maximizing the use of the land by preventing soil depletion and contributing to the long-term health of the soil.
Rain-Fed Fields
The majority of our fields are largely rain-fed, harnessing the power of nature’s water supply and conserving water.
Biodegradable Cotton
Cotton, our primary crop, is a natural fiber that safely biodegrades, reducing its environmental impact.
Natural Pest Control and Organic Fertilizers
In Tajikistan, pollution is responsible for a shocking 19.6% of deaths, with agriculture being the dominant source. At Farnico, we rely on the use of beneficial insects to control pests, eliminating the reliance on synthetic pesticides, and use fully organic fertilizers to safely promote healthy soil.
Biodiversity
Encouraging biodiversity in farming enhances ecosystems, improves crop resilience, and further reduces the need for synthetic chemicals. Some of the practices we employ include planting trees around fields to reduce soil erosion and creating buffer zones near water sources to protect against nutrient pollution.
